What is a dataflow?

A dataflow is an XML document that defines the flow of data from the point of extraction all the way to the destination, based on some predefined logic.

This is an example of a simple dataflow in which data extracted from an Excel source is being transformed (Sorted) and then loaded to a delimited file destination (DelimitedDest).
